Granite
Deploys Cost-Saving, Always-On Network for Rollins, Inc.
Rollins Increases Network
Flexibility, Capacity and Redundancy While Reducing Costs with Granite’s Network
Integration Services
QUINCY,
Mass. – March 4, 2021 – Granite
Telecommunications LLC,
a $1.6 billion provider of communications services to multilocation
businesses and government agencies, today announced that Rollins,
Inc., a premier global
consumer and commercial services company, leveraged Granite’s Network
Integration services to deploy its managed SD-WAN solution for secure and
always-on connectivity and simplified training across its branches.
“With
SD-WAN and Granite’s ability to rapidly stage, configure, ship and install our
hardware, we’re able to set up our branch networks with 10 times the network
speed in half the time, enabling them to now have reliable access to cloud
applications,” said Kevin Morrison, Vice President of IT and CISO at Rollins.
“At the same time, we significantly reduced our network costs and anticipate
continued savings over the next five years.”
Rollins
migrated from a legacy MPLS network, which was inflexible,
bandwidth-constrained, outage-prone and increasingly expensive. SD-WAN enabled
the company to achieve its objectives to:
·
Quickly
and easily deploy new sites
·
Achieve
significant cost reductions
·
Tame
escalating network expenditures
·
Increase
network capacity
·
Gain
network visibility
·
Establish
reliable redundancy to eliminate outages
·
Affordably
and reliably utilize multicasting for branch training purposes
“The
bottom line is we needed network carrier flexibility, lower costs, speed and a
business partner, not a vendor,” said Morrison. “Based on our existing
relationship, the pricing, customer service, consistent follow up and contract
flexibility, we viewed Granite as the best partner for Rollins.”
Every
Granite circuit installed to support the SD-WAN deployment is monitored and
managed from its 24/7/365 U.S.-based, state-of-the-art network operations
center (NOC).
Granite
delivered turnkey deployment and asset lifecycle management, freeing Rollins from
the burden of installing, configuring and housing all of the new hardware. The SD-WAN
solution also enabled Rollins to meet aggressive timelines and achieve its
overall infrastructure goals.
“This was a very time-sensitive project— the
longer it would take to deploy the solution, the more it would diminish the
client’s cost savings,” said Granite COO Rand Currier. “Granite provided boots-on-the-ground
support to meet Rollins’ timeline while overcoming COVID-19 obstacles to
ensure their cost savings goals and network requirements were met.”
