Granite Awarded Task Order on $50B EIS Government Contract

Prime Contractor Awarded a Task Order to Supply Key Telecommunications Infrastructure Solutions to a Federal Agency Under EIS

QUINCY, Mass. – March 18, 2020 – Granite Telecommunications, LLC, a provider of communications solutions to businesses and governmental agencies throughout North America, announced today that it has received a task order award under the General Services Administration’s (GSA) $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract.  Under this task order, Granite will provide Ethernet and managed network services to the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB).

The EIS program, which is administrated by the GSA, is the federal government’s contract vehicle for procuring next-generation information technology, telecommunications and infrastructure services from select contractors for up to 15 years. Granite is one of nine prime contractors approved to provide services under the EIS contract.  Granite has actively expanded the scope of its EIS products and services that it is eligible to offer under EIS, and offers the largest portfolio of approved services of any non-incumbent carrier (36 of 37 EIS services across the entire geographic area approved by GSA for EIS).

Since achieving its authority to operate (ATO) under EIS, Granite has been responding to individual agency EIS RFPs and proposing solutions that accelerate transformation to next-generation technologies.  Granite will work with agency customers to realize the promise of this accelerated transformation by modernizing their networks and delivering better, faster services as well as gaining significant cost savings.

“I’m very proud of our team’s ability to develop the best solution for the Railroad Retirement Board,” said Granite CEO Rob Hale. “This achievement confirms that Granite is the best partner to help the RRB realize its goals for this requirement.  We are ready to begin the transition and help another valued customer realize the benefits of Granite’s solutions.”

“We are excited to help the Railroad Retirement Board continue to deliver their mission by providing the best solutions available,” said Tim Heaps, General Manager of Granite Government Solutions. “Granite will help the RRB by managing the services they have while delivering savings and efficiencies.”

Granite has a distinguished track record as a contractor in the public sector, having provided voice and data services to many federal, state and governmental agencies.  Under the GSA’s EIS program, Granite hopes to provide greater cost savings and efficiencies to even larger segments of the U.S. government’s various agencies and organizations.
