General Summary of Position:

The Granite Telecommunications Cost Analysis and Savings Team (CAST) Supervisor will coordinate the company's efforts in responding to existing and potential customer quote proposal requests. They’ll be responsible for helping the Premier Account Team and Sales Department maintain the high level of billing accuracy and deliver on all needs of satisfying the customers pricing and formatting requests, for existing and potential business. A CAST Supervisor will be involved from start to finish with helping take on new CAST Analysts Representatives, training those individuals to be a successful CAST Analysts where one can take on requests independently; while assisting with day to day responsibilities, requests and escalations. The CAST Supervisor will join internal and external calls to cover proper findings and satisfaction rewards for the customer. Being able to effectively convey and receive messages via e-mail, phone, and in person and deliver on those asks and needs, is required. One should have the proven ability to manage a large organization, including employee accountability with focus on customer (internal / external) relations. One must know, understanding and be able to present on all Granite product offerings, while being able to bring a financial level of expertise to the request by making executive pricing decisions. One must work effectively with internal subject matter experts, to develop the proper solution based proposal, to satisfy customers’ needs and wants. The CAST Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency is met, on every quote proposal that is delivered on. One must have the ability and willingness to travel, if required. Along with working quote proposal requests on a day to day, one will be responsible for answering daily e-mailed inquires, corresponding to past or potential request escalations, attending meetings independently representing the team, as well as working team and individuals based tasks and escalations.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with varies departments, such as sales, solutions engineering, legal and finance teams to understand customer needs and develop strategy for the proposal response.
  • Work directly with the Sales Department and Premier Account Team to manage quote proposals and solve pricing disputes.
  • Ability to work on multiple requests simultaneously
  • Meet CAST request deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, extracting, proposing solution based proposals, review, and approval
  • Maintain quality results by using varies template applicable to the request; following company and team protocols and maintaining proposal support databases
  • Oversee creation of all pricing requests that go through the Cost Analysis and Savings Team
  • Ensure accuracy of all PDF quote creation
  • Work effectively with internal upper management subject matter experts to develop theproper solution based proposal, to satisfy customers’ needs and wants
  • Maintain and define team goals and metrics
  • Excellent understanding of all Granite’s offerings
  • Contribute to the quick, but accurate turnaround of answer daily pricing inquiries and escalations
  • Conduct One on One meeting’s weekly with all direct reports
  • Coordinate weekly team meetings to ensure accuracy and proficiency is being met
  • Conduct Quarterly Reviews and ensure all team members have the tools to succeed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Access
  • Proven ability to lead a team and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • One must have the ability and willingness to travel, if required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Access
  • Proven ability to lead a team and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills; strong coordination and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Must be technologically savvy in order to navigate and organize electronic invoices
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team; prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Great knowledge of reading competitor invoices
